Jeffrey Epstein acquired a more modest island - Little St James - back in 1998, but acquired the larger adjacent island in the year 2016 for around $22.5 million.
The released images reveal he had drawn up ambitious plans to develop the sprawling island by erecting homes, an amphitheatre, an office beneath the waves and a reservoir.
You can see the plan is a channel, a strait in the territory, indicated on the bottom right.
The site plan is annotated in notations in red and contains a notes section detailing distinct areas of the land.
In addition to this are what appear to be several other construction diagrams and architectural plans, featuring designs for dock shelters.
